Star of the Seas Unveiled: Royal Caribbean’s Stunning New Vessel Raises the Bar for Caribbean Cruising

Royal Caribbean’s highly anticipated Star of the Seas will debut in August 2025, promising a transformative cruise experience from Port Canaveral, Florida. The new Icon Class ship will captivate guests with a diverse lineup of world-class entertainment, innovative dining options, and immersive activities tailored for all ages.

At the heart of the onboard experience is a remarkable entertainment program featuring five must-see productions. Guests will be transported through a captivating narrative in the brand-new Create, which follows a robot character named KRE-8 on a journey told through music, dance, and visual arts. Families can also enjoy the comedic storytelling and aquatic spectacle of Pirates & Mermaids at the AquaTheater.

The undisputed highlight, however, is the highly anticipated Back to the Future: The Musical, adapted from the Broadway production and featuring the largest orchestra at sea, choreographed sequences, and dazzling special effects. Rounding out the lineup are the water-based acrobatic performance Torque and the sun-themed ice show SOL.

Equally impressive are the dining options, with over 40 restaurants and bars catering to every palate. Exclusive to the Icon Class is the AquaDome Market, offering five distinct food stands showcasing American barbecue, Southeast Asian cuisine, and South American snacks. The new Central Park-based Lincoln Park Supper Club will transport guests to 1930s Chicago with a multi-course meal and live jazz.

Evening entertainment extends beyond the stage, with the adults-only comedy club The Attic, karaoke, and the bustling Casino Royale. Guests can also explore more than 20 bars and lounges, including favorites like Dueling Pianos, Rye & Bean, and Bubbles in Central Park.

“At Royal Caribbean, we know that dining and entertainment are at the heart of our guests’ vacation experiences and memories,” said Kara Wallace, Chief Marketing Officer at Royal Caribbean. “With the Icon Class lineup redefining what it means to vacation, Star pushes the boundaries of flavors and entertainment with a mix of brand-new and fan-favorite offerings, so every kind of vacationer can make memories of a lifetime together and in their own ways.”

Sailing seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, including stops at Royal Caribbean’s private destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, Star of the Seas will offer guests an unparalleled cruise experience starting August 2025. From December 2025, the ship will also include Royal Beach Club Paradise Island as part of the new Royal Beach Club Collection.
