Mason Magazine: A Groundbreaking Voice for Maldives’ Construction Industry Launches First Issue

Mason Magazine Launch Event at JEN Malé by Shangri-La

The Maldivian construction sector has welcomed a pioneering publication with the debut of Mason Magazine Issue 01, a comprehensive platform dedicated to infrastructure, real estate, and industry insights. Launched at the prestigious JEN Malé by Shangri-La, the inaugural issue was celebrated with industry leaders and key stakeholders, featuring Uz. Ahmed Nazim, State Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, as the chief guest.

This groundbreaking magazine aims to transform industry communication by providing an unbiased, transparent lens into the Maldives’ evolving construction landscape. By featuring expert interviews, in-depth analyses, and critical discussions, Mason Works is creating a crucial collaborative space for professionals and stakeholders.

Strategic partnerships have been instrumental in bringing Mason Magazine to life. Dhivehi Insurance Company anchored the publication as the Title Partner, demonstrating their commitment to supporting innovative industry platforms. Additional Gold Partners including AMIN Construction, Timber House, and Maldives Assure Supply have further strengthened the magazine’s credibility.

Ahmed Ameel, Managing Director of Dhivehi Insurance, shared the vision behind their involvement: “We recognize the complexities of construction projects and are dedicated to providing comprehensive support throughout every development stage. Partnering with Mason Magazine allows us to directly engage with and understand industry challenges.”

Fraath Mohamed, Managing Director of The Travel Guys, emphasized the publication’s broader mission: “Mason Magazine represents more than just a print platform—it’s a collaborative space celebrating the ambition, creativity, and potential of the Maldivian construction sector. We’re committed to nurturing meaningful dialogue and driving industry innovation.”

To engage the community, The Travel Guys launched a social media photo competition using the hashtag #masongotme, encouraging participants to capture the dynamic urban landscapes and architectural essence of the Maldives.

The magazine is part of a broader Mason Works ecosystem that includes digital platforms, print publications, and upcoming industry events like the inaugural Mason Summit planned for 2026. By providing multiple touchpoints for communication and knowledge sharing, the initiative seeks to empower construction professionals and stakeholders.

Readers can access Mason Magazine Issue 01 through two convenient platforms: the official Mason Works website and Issuu digital publication, offering flexible reading options for industry professionals and enthusiasts.
