Maldivian, the national carrier of the Maldives, has been selected as the Airline Partner for TTM Maldives 2025, the country’s premier international travel trade show scheduled for August 27th and 28th, signaling a strategic milestone in the archipelago’s tourism development.
As the leading domestic airline, Maldivian has solidified its reputation by operating daily flights to 17 airports across the Maldivian archipelago, providing essential connectivity for travelers and supporting the nation’s robust tourism infrastructure. Beyond standard routes, the carrier offers competitive seaplane transfers that enable seamless access to some of the world’s most exclusive island resorts.
A landmark achievement this year was Maldivian’s introduction of wide-body operations with the arrival of an Airbus A330-200 at Velana International Airport. This strategic expansion represents a transformative moment in the airline’s 25-year history, positioning the Maldives for enhanced global accessibility. With plans to expand international routes to Europe, South Africa, and beyond, the airline is poised to drive significant growth in both tourism and economic sectors.
“Our partnership as the official Airline Partner for TTM Maldives demonstrates our commitment to connecting key international markets with the Maldives,” said Ibrahim Iyas, Managing Director of Island Aviation Services Limited. “As the national carrier, we are proud to facilitate meaningful connections that propel our tourism industry forward.”
The upcoming TTM Maldives 2025 promises to be a pivotal event in the travel industry, featuring over 130 resorts and hotels and more than 250 leading travel operators from the top 30 source markets. The TTM Connect Meetings, held over two days at Barceló Nasandhura Malé, will provide a crucial platform for building partnerships, negotiating deals, and exploring emerging tourism trends.
A highlight of the event will be the TTM Awards & Gala Night at Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi, which will celebrate exceptional achievements within the Maldivian tourism sector. This prestigious ceremony will recognize outstanding contributions and innovations that have shaped the destination’s global reputation.
Industry professionals interested in participating can register through the TTM Connect Portal until July 31st.
