Maldives welcomes over 600 on 2025’s first cruise ship

Maldives Customs Seaport Division officers provided en-route clearance services for passengers and crew aboard the Crystal Symphony, the first cruise liner to arrive in the Maldives this year.

The vessel, which traveled from the Seychelles, arrived in the Maldives on Thursday. Customs officers facilitated clearance for 216 passengers and 416 crew members during the ship’s stopover.

This is the third cruise liner to arrive in Maldives this season. Thousands of tourists arrived in the Maldives aboard two cruise liners, MS Norwegian Sky and MS Riviera, late last month.

MS Norwegian Sky, registered in the Bahamas, docked in Male with 1,872 passengers. MS Riviera, registered in the Marshall Islands, arrived with 2,004 passengers.
