dnata Travel has announced a new partnership with the Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), solidifying the country’s position as a top-selling destination for UAE travelers.

The joint initiative, effective immediately, will run until the end of June 2025. Travelers can expect exclusive holiday packages, tailored promotions, and curated experiences across dnata Travel’s digital and retail platforms.

A Perennial Favorite for UAE Travelers

The Maldives has long been a year-round favorite for UAE travelers, with notable surges around Eid holidays, the summer school break, and the September shoulder season. New data reveals that first-quarter arrivals in the South Asian country are already up 33% compared to the same period last year, according to MMPRC.

Insights from dnata Travel reveal that UAE travelers, particularly families and high-profile guests, consistently prioritize privacy, exclusivity, and luxury – preferences perfectly aligned with the Maldives’ signature one-island-one-resort concept.

Immersive Experiences Await

Beyond its iconic overwater villas, the Maldives offers immersive cultural experiences, sustainability-driven stays, and a vibrant culinary landscape. With direct flights from the UAE taking just over four hours, it’s an effortlessly accessible option for both spontaneous getaways and longer planned holidays.

On a broader scale, the Maldives recorded a milestone year in 2024, welcoming more than two million tourists, marking a 9.1% increase over the previous year’s arrivals, according to the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
