New Partnership Vision Unveiled as Core Group Convenes in Malé
The Maldives and India have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their comprehensive economic and maritime security partnership, as the first meeting of the High-Level Core Group (HLCG) was held in Malé. The discussions, guided by the visionary document “A Vision for Comprehensive Economic and Maritime Security Partnership,” marked a new era of cooperation between the two nations.
Convened at the Maldivian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting brought together representatives from both countries to address a broad spectrum of collaborative areas. Key topics on the agenda included development cooperation, trade and commerce, digital financing, health cooperation, strengthening people-to-people connections, as well as defense and maritime security.
