Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board’s Successful Roadshow in Lucknow Paves the Way for Enhanced Tourism Cooperation Between the Two States
In a strategic move to strengthen tourism ties, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board recently organized a roadshow in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The event, held at the iconic Hotel Taj Mahal, brought together tourism stakeholders from both states to explore new avenues of collaboration and investment.
The roadshow was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Madhya Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture, Tourism, Religious Trusts and Endowments Dharmendra Bhav Singh Lodhi, and Uttar Pradesh Minister of Tourism and Culture Jaiveer Singh. Renowned actor Pankaj Tripathi, along with senior government officials, further lent their support to the event.
The centerpiece of the roadshow was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. This landmark agreement aims to promote tourism, with a specific focus on the development of the Shri Ram Path Gaman, Shri Krishna Pathey, and the Buddhist Circuit.
New Pathways in Tourism Through the Ganga-Narmada Corridor
Shiv Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, highlighted the potential of the Ganga-Narmada Tourism Corridor project. This ambitious initiative will link major religious and tourism destinations in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, including Prayagraj, Ayodhya, Varanasi, Omkareshwar, and Mahakaleshwar. This corridor will not only enhance tourism cooperation between the two states but also offer visitors a rich and diverse experience, fostering religious, cultural, wellness, and heritage tourism.
Madhya Pradesh is renowned for its natural, historical, archaeological, cultural, and religious heritage. With 3 permanent and 15 tentative UNESCO heritage sites, the state boasts a diverse tourism landscape. From the magnificent Khajuraho temples to the captivating Bhimbetka caves and the serene Sanchi stupa, Madhya Pradesh offers a multitude of experiences for visitors.
