BVLGARI Launches Groundbreaking Artisan Training School to Preserve Italian Jewelry Craftsmanship

Luxury jeweler BVLGARI is revolutionizing professional education in the jewelry industry with the launch of Scuola BVLGARI, an innovative training program designed to cultivate the next generation of world-class artisans in goldsmithing and gemstone setting. The comprehensive initiative opens unprecedented opportunities for aspiring craftspeople to master the intricate skills of luxury jewelry manufacturing.

The school offers two pioneering educational tracks, strategically developed to provide comprehensive entry points into professional jewelry craftsmanship. Both programs are meticulously designed to accommodate students without prior experience, requiring only a secondary school diploma and a demonstrated passion for manual precision.

The Goldsmithing Course, launching in September 2025, represents an extensive 1,680-hour journey through metalworking excellence. Students will develop advanced skills including:

• Advanced metal manipulation techniques
• Precision soldering methods
• Laser cutting and intricate fretwork
• Sophisticated wax modeling
• Professional polishing techniques
• Lost-wax casting fundamentals
• Specialized clasp and bezel creation

Complementing the goldsmithing program, the Stone Setting Course offers 600 hours of specialized training focused on the delicate art of gemstone mounting. Participants will master multiple setting techniques including pavé, bezel, burnish, channel, prong, and claw settings. The curriculum also provides in-depth instruction on gemological principles and stone characteristics.

Beyond technical training, BVLGARI’s educational initiative embodies a broader commitment to social inclusion and cultural preservation. The school builds upon the brand’s Refugee Program, which integrates asylum seekers through targeted training, cultural mediation, and professional mentorship. This progressive approach recently earned BVLGARI the prestigious “Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration” recognition from UNHCR.

Located at the Valenza site—where over 32 nationalities collaborate—the school symbolizes BVLGARI’s dedication to safeguarding and evolving the prestigious tradition of Made in Italy craftsmanship. By providing accessible, high-quality training, BVLGARI ensures the continued excellence of Italian luxury manufacturing for future generations.
