Air New Zealand Joins Asia-Pacific Aviation Association, Strengthening Regional Ties

In a significant move, Air New Zealand has officially joined the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), effective immediately. This addition reinforces the airline’s commitment to fostering stronger connections and collaborations within the Asia-Pacific aviation industry.

Strengthening Regional Advocacy and Cooperation

Subhas Menon, Director General of AAPA, expressed his enthusiasm about Air New Zealand’s membership, stating, “Air New Zealand’s important role in connecting New Zealand to the world and its strong international outlook will reinforce the collective advocacy of airlines in the Asia-Pacific region in areas such as sustainability, supply chain recovery, and smooth cross-border travel.”

Greg Foran, Chief Executive Officer of Air New Zealand, echoed this sentiment, adding, “Joining the AAPA membership will allow us to share learnings with our regional counterparts, to ensure a thriving Asia-Pacific aviation industry into the future.”

The AAPA now boasts 18 member airlines, including the recently welcomed Qantas Airways, further solidifying its position as a influential voice for the region’s aviation industry.
