Aajeelakah Football Academy recently concluded a successful program for young guests at Amilla Maldives in Baa Atoll. Held from October 21 to November 2, 2024, the initiative was led by founder Ismail Zaan Amir and sports psychologist and performance coach Martin Jimenez Toribio.
The program offered participants, ranging from ages four to their teens, a comprehensive experience that combined athletic training with life skills development. Activities included dynamic beach training sessions, targeted field exercises, and special matches for various age groups.
“Coach Toribio emphasized the importance of equipping young athletes with tools to navigate challenges both on and off the field, highlighting the program’s focus on physical and mental well-being,” said a spokesperson for Aajeelakah Football Academy.
The event also fostered community engagement, as local children from nearby islands joined friendly matches, enriching the experience for all involved.
Aajeelakah Football Academy has been a leading institution catering to athletes of all levels since its founding in 2020. The success of the program at Amilla Maldives was a testament to the effective collaboration between the two organizations.
“Sports tourism can play an essential part in wellness and tourism, allowing guests to enjoy fitness while engaging in sports enrichment,” stated founder Zaan.
The collaboration between Aajeelakah Football Academy and Amilla Maldives also aligned with the resort’s REACH initiative, which stands for Responsibility, Environment, Accessibility, Community, and Harmony. This initiative underscores the resort’s commitment to environmental protection, local project support, and cultural celebration.
By fostering harmony with the local community and environment, the partnership with Aajeelakah Football Academy exemplified the positive impact of Amilla Maldives’ REACH activities.
