JOALI BEING Hosts Inspiring Tennis Workshop in Partnership with Alexander Zverev Foundation

JOALI BEING, the premier luxury wellness retreat in the Maldives, hosted a transformative tennis workshop on November 25, 2024, in collaboration with the Alexander Zverev Foundation. The event was dedicated to supporting children with diabetes and featured world-renowned tennis player Sascha Zverev, currently ranked number two globally. The workshop welcomed young students from the neighboring island of R. Fainu, including teenagers living with diabetes, accompanied by their teachers and the principal of R. Fainu School.

The workshop provided a unique opportunity for the students to learn and refine their tennis skills under the expert guidance of Sascha Zverev. Fathih Mohamed, a Young Leader in Diabetes and Regional Representative for the Maldives at the International Diabetes Federation, also participated, sharing inspiring messages of perseverance and hope. The combination of athletic instruction and personal encouragement made a profound impact on the young participants, fostering both skill development and personal growth.

The tennis celebration continued on November 29, 2024, with a vibrant community event open to guests of all ages at JOALI BEING. Attendees enjoyed interactive workshops and a dynamic game led by Sascha Zverev and his team, creating an evening filled with friendly competition and camaraderie. The event highlighted the resort’s commitment to fostering a sense of community and wellness through sports.

From November 20 to 30, 2024, JOALI BEING guests had the exclusive opportunity to receive personalized tennis coaching from Sascha Zverev, his brother Mischa Zverev, and Marcelo Melo. These private sessions, held on the resort’s picturesque tennis court, offered participants invaluable expert guidance and a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This series of tennis events not only underscored JOALI BEING’s dedication to wellness and community engagement but also demonstrated the power of sports in uniting people and advancing significant causes.
