Accor, a leading global hospitality group, is set to expand its regional presence by taking over the management of three existing properties owned by Bayview International Hotels & Resorts, a prominent local player established in 1993. The strategic agreement will leverage Bayview’s local legacy and Accor’s international expertise to elevate the guest experience across the portfolio.
Starting in May, Accor will assume management of three properties: The Sydney Boulevard Hotel in East Sydney, Bayview Geographe Resort in Busselton, Western Australia, and Wairakei Resort Taupo in New Zealand’s North Island. The hotels will undergo refurbishments and be rebranded under Accor’s diverse portfolio of hotel labels, while retaining their current names during the transition period.
The Sydney Boulevard Hotel boasts 277 rooms, 7 suites, 11 meeting spaces, a ballroom, restaurant, café, and a top-floor meeting room with panoramic views of the Sydney CBD and harbor. Bayview Geographe Resort, situated 3 hours south of Perth, offers 137 rooms and villas, an indoor heated pool, tennis court, golf putting green, and direct beach access. Wairakei Resort Taupo, nestled in a geothermal area near Lake Taupo, features 187 rooms, a 9-hole golf course, geothermal swimming pool, day spa, multiple dining options, and conference facilities.
“These three properties are well-loved by locals and visitors alike, and we are thrilled to bring them into the Accor family,” said Adrian Williams, Chief Operating Officer for Accor in the Pacific. “Our vision is to elevate their guest experiences through our powerful brands, ALL loyalty program, and world-class service offering.”
Derek Yan, Vice President of Projects and Product Development for Bayview International Hotels & Resorts, added: “With Accor’s global expertise and strong brand portfolio, we are confident that these hotels will thrive, offering even greater experiences for our valued guests. It reaffirms our commitment to growth and excellence in the region.”
The partnership marks a strategic step in Accor’s regional expansion, as the group continues to leverage its international scale and expertise to enhance the guest experience at premier hospitality destinations across the Asia-Pacific.
